Many thanks to Shooting Stars for loaning us their springback box and to Joe for his help organizing us for this race, which resulted in Hotwings coming home with 3rd place rosettes.

A very special well done to Kelly for her first competition running Blitz.

We were seeded 6th in division 1 with a seed time of 18.11. The team consisted of: Blitz, Kuri, Luckii, Snowy, Tilly and Trumpet. It is was always going to be a difficult day as the other teams seed times were all under 18 seconds!

23/04 :  Zingers Jets Easter Show

Zingers were drawn to run in Division 2 on Easter Sunday, Unfortunately Heather was unable to run Izzy so Becky took the lead.
Blitz came into season so they were down to 4 dogs.

1st race was against High Flyers 2nd team, High Drive, Losing the first 2 races we tried to make it as hard as possible for ourselves, then came back to win 3-2 with a fastest time of 18.03.

2nd race was against the Aces, this proved to be a real challenge and although we pulled out our new seed time of 17.96, we still went down 3-1.

3rd race of the day was aginst Hampshire Harriers, who beat us last time we raced, so this time we wanted revenge.. Racing was tight as it usually is against them, but we dug in and won 3-0.

Essex Echoes went NFC (Not for competion) and Bristol Ballistics had to pull out through injuries, so we won both of these 3-0, this meant that we could try different running orders not that it was any good..LOL,

Overall we had some great racing and all the dogs and handlers did well. Well done Becky and Izzy, Andrea and Cara, Naomi and Flea and Clare and Lily. Also well done to Michael for box loading, and although we had a problem with the box, we borrowed Shooting stars for the last 2 races and all was well.

18/03 :  Zingers Dream Team Bracknell 4th March

On a miserable cold and snowy day in Bracknell, luckily for us indoors, The Zingers had a reasonable day.

It wasn’t the fastest racing, and as Flea and Naomi were on a pre Crufts break they were racing with Izzy, Cara, Blitz and Lily.

First race was a 3-2 loss against Dream Team, all 3 lost due to early crosses.
Second race started with a first heat loss against Warwickshire due to late crosses, then the team pulled back to win 3-1.

Third race was against Hotwings, who were still missing Trumpet. Winning 3-0 and all 3 races in under 19 seconds.
The last and Final race was against Mad Mutts, pulling off another 3-0 win and the days fastest time of 18.28.

Making them Div 1 winners.

Great racing from the team, and thanks to Michael, Becky and Charlie for their help.

18/03 :  Fully Loaded Dream Team Bracknell 4th March 2012

It was a very eventful day with a Team made up of Flicker, Ozzy, Gem Shadow, Molly and Diesel. Trying different running orders, and with Naomi running Diesel.

First race was a 3-0 loss against Dream Team UK, and only completing 2 heats but got our days fastest of 23.25.
Second race was against Rooky Raiders. Losing 3-1 but only completing 2 again.

Sadly it was the break and Tim and Shadow had to leave. We had a team meeting and decided to race not for competition. This I feel was a good move for Diesel and Molly (and Charlie, as she felt there was no pressure).

Third race was against Barking, and although we couldn’t win, we actually finished 2 out of the 3 races
Forth and final race was against Funny Bones, completing all 3 races without out faults and Clare and Gem with a perfect start to end a great day.

Well done to all the team and look forward to racing again soon.

10/12 :  Dream Team Lord Roberts Centre 3rd Dec 2011- Bargin Buckets

The team consisted of Poppy, Gem, Shadow, Fred & Diesel.

This was the first competition for Shadow, Fred & Diesel.

Race 1 - Can't stop barking
We lost this race but only by a small margin but had a best time of 23.06

Race 2 - power paws preschool
We won this race despite the fact that our best time slipped to 30.54

Race 3- rooky rascals
We won again and now we realised we had a good chance of getting a
rosette, we managed to tidy up our runs and achieved a best time of
25.76

Race 4 - power paws odd balls
We won again and now we were getting really excited of getting placed
in the top 3.
We again tidied up our runs and got a best time of 24.40

Race 5 - dream team babez
This was our last race and the last race of the day.
We won and were extremely happy with our performance. We did our best
time of the day 23.04

After some fantastic results we realised that we had secured 2nd which
we were all really happy with, but then we were informed that the
lights weren't working correctly for our first race and we were given
the option to rerun the race. If we won this it would mean 1st place.

After a mad dash to reassemble the team and get the box back into the
building we were ready to go, the pressure was on!

Race 6 - Can't stop barking
We decided that this was the time to go for it and to push as much as we could.
We WON!!!!!!!!! a faultless run by the team and even more impressive
that with all the dogs clearly tiring that we produced our best time
of the day 22.82

This was an amazing outing for Bargain buckets 1st place and although
we were still only 3rd fastest overall it was our consistency that won
the day for us. A very promising showing from the dogs and a good sign
of things to come!

Well done to all!

10/12 :  Dream Team Alton 4th September 2011 - Hotwings

We were seeded 4th in division 1 with a seed time of 18:55, our first competition in division 1 with Zingers! The team consisted of: Blitz, Snowy, Luckii and once again the Zingers kindly loaned us Ozzy and Garry.
Our first race of the day was against Fantastic 4 seeded 5th with a seed time of 19.06, which we won 3-0.
The next race was a purely Kennet affair as Hotwings were pitched against the Zingers who were seeded 2nd (17.61). Vicky kindly stepped in to run Blitz as Naomi was running Flea. Unsurprisingly, it was a 3-0 win to the Zingers with their best time of the race being 18:18 with Hotwings only managing a 19.70.
Our final race of the morning was against 1st seed Dream Team Supreme (17.41). Again an unsurprising 0-3 lose.

Our final race of the day was against the 3rd seed, Racing Herts (18.23). A 3-0 win to us with a best time of 19.17.
Winning 3 of our races was good enough to gain us the 3rd place rosette.
Many thanks to Vicky who made her debut as a handler running Blitz for some of the races.
It was a very wet day which was reflected in the times.

10/12 :  BFA Nuneaton 21st August 2011 – Hotwings

Hotwings were originally seeded 1st in Division 10 but were bumped up to 6th seed in division 9 (with a seed time of 18.55), so the only way was up! The team consisted of: Blitz, Luckii, Snowy and Trumpet.
Our first race was against the number 1 seed Northants Wagtails (18.45). We were off to a great start winning the first two legs but then lost the next three, however, it was a great achievement to take 2 legs off them. 2-3
Race 2 was against the 3rd seed Ghost Owlers (18.50) losing all three legs. 0-3
Our last race of the morning was against the number 2 seed Ready2Fly (18.46) which we won. 3 -0
At the break we were 2 -1 down!
Next we were up against the 4th seed Mansfield Muskteers (18.52). On the very first leg the lights failed our side, however, it was clear we had lost the heat so an average 4 dog time was recorded. We then lost the next heat but rallied to win the next three. 3 - 2
For our last race we were up against the 5th seed High Voltage (18.53). We lost the first heat again but went onto win the next three. 3 – 1
We were delighted to come home with 3rd place rosettes having been seeded 6th.
It was a great event, with only a tenth of a second between the seed times of the six teams, racing against teams we wouldn’t normally meet on our own circuit.
